Hidden in a quiet residential area of Bucharest, the Ceaușescu Mansion offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the private life of Nicolae Ceaușescu and Elena Ceaușescu.
Built in the 1960s and used as the private residence of Romania''s former ruling family, the mansion remained largely unknown to the public during the communist era. After 1989 it was preserved and opened as a museum — more than 20 rooms decorated with luxurious materials, handcrafted furniture, and artworks by O. Băncilă, Camil Ressu, G. Löwendal and others.
